7 Elephants Dubai has officially opened its doors in the heart of Dubai’s financial hub, and the stakes are quite high. Almost as high as the tallest building in the world, which serves as a background, towering behind the larger-than-life bar. Dubai’s newest lounge bar venue, has put the whole city in a buzzing frenzy, and added a fresh dose of personality to DIFC’s concrete jungle.
Central to the concept is a stock exchange-style board and app that can be downloaded, offering drinks specials by revealing a price fluctuation. Seven stock traders saw that there was something missing in the market, an exciting place where like-minded people can come together in a laid back space, to have a good time. When you work hard, you deserve to play hard, and 7 Elephants Dubai understands that.
The contemporary lounge houses a spacious open format venue with floor to ceiling windows creating a fresh and airy atmosphere for guests to bask in, amongst patches of indoor greenery here and there. Guests are welcomed by a life-sized elephant at the entrance, painted by Dubai based Graffiti artist, Steffi Bow, as part of an ongoing artist activation that will pop up once every 3 months. The cozy and laid back interior design elements are complimented furthermore by a 35m long bar, and a ceiling covered in circular light bulbs that create a soft ambient effect and help transition the venue from daytime to nighttime.
The eccentric menu created by Chef Mahmoud Turkmani, pays homage to Dubai’s multicultural façade, by perfectly bringing together comfort food inspired by heart-warming traditional dishes from 7 different continents. Featuring cuisines from Italy, Mexico, Spain, India, Indonesia, Britain and the Middle East, signature platters and dishes including Tandoori Skewers, chicken coconut salad, fish cakes, Italian Truffle Salami, raw Kibbeh, shrimp tacos and a droll worthy dessert platter that combines the best of the best. Paired with a variety of colorful cocktails, including Bali Beach, Arabic Old Fashion and Lavender Storm, the contemporary touch that chef Mahmoud has given to the dining experience also adds an array of flavorful Shisha to the mix.
